Contacts in Virginia State Government

Gov. Kaine, Depts. of Health and Social Services, Juvenile and Domestic Courts

Perhaps Virginia will be a Pioneer and Leader in CHANGE

Let's Get Virginia to be a Leader with CHIPS and CRAIDO for Families and Children

The state of Virginia has a huge population at risk from not only H1N1 and other public health problems.

Virginia is not alone in this respect, but Virginia has the capacity, the capability, and the opportunity to take advantage of unique advantages, not the least of which is provided by the leadership in TETRADYN and the whole CUBIT and CRAIDO Consortium Groups.

Virginia has a large population of indigent, poor, and at-risk people, especially children and youth. This is not only about minority populations, although arguably the African-American populations in Central and eastern Virginia are particularly vulnerable to the effects of any pandemic.

So also are any persons who suffer from obseity - any persons, any race or ethnic origin.

There is also a huge rural population, especially in South and Southwest Virginia, many unemployed and underemployed, and many families that have only one parent, often absent, and children who are undernourished and under-attended. Many are latch-key children, many are seniors.

This is a situation that can be addressed right now by the CRAIDO Program and the CHIPS (free) public service!!!

We are able to make a difference for the people of Virginia, and we want to do so, and we are asking the whole government of Virginia to support our initiatives and Help Make A Difference Right Now, Fall 2009, before the full brunt attack of the H1N1 Pandemic, to help Virginians!

We have the means - we just need You, Gov. Tim Kaine, and You, First Lady Anne Holton, and You members of the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates, and You, the Congressmen and Senators of Virginia, and You, the Courts and Judicial System, to help us - to let us - to help You.

We politely INVITE Marilyn Tavenner, Sec'y of Health and Human Services in Virginia, and Andrew Conyers, Commissioner of Virginia's Dept. of Social Services, and Robert Crouch, director of Virginia's Office of Commonwealth Preparedness, to meet, talk, or otherwise speak with our doctors, our public health and epidemiology experts, our social service experts, our counterterrorism experts, any of them, any of our team and consortium, who are trained and experienced in matters of emergency health and disaster response. We are ready for You.
